Student Assemblies
As most boys in Kentucky, I dreamed of playing basketball for the Big Blue. In 6th grade, I wrote an English assignment titled, “If I Could Trade Places With Anyone Who Would It Be?” I wrote that I would trade places with Larry Bird and play in the NBA, but first I wanted to play in a Final Four at the University of Kentucky. After playing in 2 Final Fours and winning 2 National Championships, I was given the opportunity to play in the NBA for the Atlanta Hawks. Dreams can come true. I would love the opportunity to share with your students my story that will hopefully impact a generation of
young people to pursue those dreams.

Professional Development
My Mom is a retired school teacher. So as a kid I grew up in the school system. The elementary and middle school bus took me to Mom’s high school and I sprinted to her room to drop off my books and never broke stride until I made it to the gym, baseball field, or football field depending on what sport was in season. I learned how to work from the example that Mom set everyday at work and every night grading papers at home. I would love the opportunity to thank, encourage, and challenge the teachers that I consider the true dream shapers of this generation.
